Where we go – What we see – What we do
We have just been to the Netherlands for three weeks, first near Nijmegen, next near Roermond and final one was the International Tandem Rally at Chaam-(map). Although not mentioned previously we go to this event quite often and will add more later. Meantime there are a few photo’s in Photographs-Holland.There are some more on the Photographs-Belgium page when we visited Holland the first time. The photograph above was taken on our visit to Nijmegen, in one of the few hilly places in Holland.
I have been very busy looking after another site to which I volunteered and have recently completely redesigned it, but with the same look. It is a remembrance site, the idea of a group of children in Clitheroe in Lancashire which resulted in many awards coming their way and which makes me quite proud to be associated with them. The site is rvremembrance.info. The project has now ended so I should be able to get on with this site upgrades.
Have cleaned up a few of the pages, most of which were the period up to 2000, but now have started a new page Later Tours for the later additions.
For quite a while we just had a small sample of pictures in the galleries, mainly to test different layouts. There are many more we can add which we shall do eventually. Feedback can be given via Contact us.
What to do with the Dawes Galaxy that had served us so well for many years? No problem really as I had discovered a wonderful charity a few years ago, who lend out tandems, for free, to people with disabilities or special needs. We donated the tandem to them. Their web site is well worth a visit – Charlotte’s tandems.
We went and bought another tandem today, a Thorn Adventure, after having taken it for a short test ride. The image is the new one. We donated the old one a Dawes Galaxy to Charlottes Tandems. This one is much easier to ride, brakes are more powerful and the upright bars make everything much better.
Have been very busy with software upgrades on another site, as in the image. Must get back here soon to this site
